ABOUT

We've grown up in a world where "blue is for boys" and "pink is for girls." Where women wear dresses and men wear suits. Where someone's behavior or image has to match the stereotype that has been developed and enforced for hundreds of years - or at least, that's what we thought.
In reality, life goes far beyond the binary, and inanimate items like accessories or clothing are not defined or reserved for one specific group. According to Florence Laurent, clothing doesn't carry these gender expectations - these ideas are simply "weaved in," keeping society constrained in these "binary boxes." This documentary explores these ideas, diving into personal expression, gender identity, and even the hardships that one may face just for wanting to stay loyal to themselves.
Normal is boring. Conforming is restrictive. We are the change.
